calm

When its peaceful and you think everything is going just fine.
When the day started just at the time you wanted it to and the night began when you finally decided to crash.
When you had not one unwanted fight with anyone, rather had those enjoyable physical fights.
When you got just want you wanted to eat, rather what you ate didn't make much of the difference to you because you were just so happy with the day.
When you got to express yourself just the way you wanted to.
When you got to play just as much you wished to.
Enjoy it.

the midnight chirp

The swallows are never awake so late in the night. It is half past two in the morning and these birds are flying in and out of the hostel corridors on the fourth floor...the tree canopy is at level with the fourth, hence the convenient flight detour, but why at this time of the night??I guess, its not like any normal bird behaviour. I mean they too sleep in the night and wake up at dawn. Here they are flying in, to hit the walls!I sense trouble.
They usually fly out in groups only, and never alone. I really enjoy watching them in the evenings, either from the hostel or the backfields, when they -I'd call it- "PERFORM" their flight show. So, there is this entire bunch right now,on the telephone cable and on the ledge facing Komal and Trina's room. They also flew out on me as I headed to brush and then afterwards as I made my way back.I sense trouble.
These swallows are generally always so silent at this time of the night that there are eerie sounds heard because of the Sabarmati Wind and the wind 'chakri' shoved on my roomplate mount. Unlike tonight, where I sense trouble, either someone died in their pack, or they are very happy and jovial and partying, or they sense an earthquake nearby, or maybe here(ahmedabad has had some)...I dont know, times like these we need indicators, and translators to really be able to understand WHAT'S THE HASSLE???
I really will have to sleep amidst this ultra loud cacophony, which would usually wake me up in the mornings.
